GSIS Praise Team

The GSIS Praise Team is a group of student musicians that serve God and our school with their musical talent.  As Christians we believe God has blessed us with this talent and has called us to perform for his glory.  We perform every Friday during Chapel for the Upper Secondary. In order to prepare for our Friday performances we practice every Wednesday or Thursday. Our main mission is to lead the students and staff during worship and prayer.

Another individual goal of mine is to build a stronger relationship with God.  By adding to and improving my musical skills as I go along, I seek to develop my relationship with Him through my music.  During the whole school year, the Praise Team plays a variety of songs from many different artists: Matt Maehr, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Hillsong, Jared Wood, etc.

As a senior, I am currently in charge of leading our team this year. As the praise team leader, each day I realize the importance of remaining united as a team. Sometimes things get tough, but the help that we are able to give to our GSIS community is worth it.  I think keeps me and our team going.
